Will Farrer

The best way to catch from Darrow Farm is to keep things simple. Bait with a little and often strategy rather than dumping in a load of bait at the start. Let the fish show you where to position your rig, they’re not shy at jumping in Darrow, thus, location is generally pretty straightforward.

In terms of bait, it is a freezer bait only venue and so to differentiate your hook bait, I suggest you try a glugged hook bait, tipped with a yellow, pink, or orange just for an extra edge. Due to the colour, I suggest adding a small PVA bag to your rig too, again to try and make it stand out on the bottom. Keep your end systems simple, coated braids and combiner’s rigs are all that is required with a nice, sharp hook.

The bailiffs at Darrow are also very helpful and knowledgeable and so it pays to listen to their suggestions and advice.
