Woodland Waters, Lincolnshire

Woodland Waters is a lovely 15 acre lake with a sandy bottom, plenty of features and a good stock of fish in Lincolnshire.

Woodland Waters, Lincolnshire

A picturesque venue in Lincolnshire, with large comfy pegs a great stamp of fish and always the chance of a bend in the rod.

The fish average 17lbs or so with the largest maybe tipping the 30lb barrier at the right time of year.

The fish are as pristine as the scenery at this awesome venue.

Ronnies and large snowman baits have always done well at Woodland, especially pinks.

Woodland is a large lake with a sandy bottom and plenty of features around the lake so you should always be on your toes watching for showing fish as they navigate around the lake.

My biggest tip for Woodland Waters is to always use larger boilies and pops ups to avoid the smaller fish, definitely avoid small particle and pellets as there are large amounts of bream.

Ronnies and large snowman baits are my go to and have always produced well.

Especially when using pink coloured popups.

If you wanted to change it up d-rigs and slip d’s have accounted for fish and in the summer months they love a floater.

Any of the pegs that can target the island is always a good place to start swim wise. Barring that the grass banks produce but all the pegs do well, especially in the margins.

Scopex squid and Cell seem to be more productive that other boilies here and I’ve always got a bag with me.

Don’t forget large pellets though for a change or to use in the margins.

As I mentioned earlier there are a lot of smaller fish species, so don’t be tempted to spod particles or corn, it will only bring in the bream.

In the winter months you should stick to single hook baits and bright boilies.
