Teardrops Lake One
Teardrops One is probably the trickiest lake on the Teardrops complex, but can also be the most rewarding.
Lined with reeds and overhanging trees, it makes a superb marginal water.
Access is easy with car parks at both ends of the complex. Although the average size is around doubles, there is a common of 31lb to go at and it is a lovely looking specimen.
The fish respond really well to marginal tactics!
Each lake is around an acre in size, Lake 1 is the top lake fed from the mighty Furzton Lake which is the source of a balancing lake system.
Lake 1 is known as the trickier lake out of the 3 with the better fish being present – lake record is a 31lb common with the average size being doubles with a few 20’s too.
Due to the size of the lake it can get busy at times, but always a chance.
The best areas of the lake are up the top end where the channel comes in from Furzton. Never ignore the margins.
A little trap set in the margins often brings success.

Jimmy began his angling on the river Ouse with his father fishing for roach. His passion grew quickly and soon developed a love for big-fish across the globe!
