Blackhorse Lake

Blackhorse is the largest lake on the complex. In the summer months, you can enjoy a pint in the bar whilst standing on the balcony overlooking Blackhorse and its residents that will often be basking in the sun amongst the weed beds. They often love a surface bait so at such times it pays to always have them in the car.

What you need to know?

Although distance fishing works well on Blackhorse, spodding over the top of your baits and fishing in the margins at night should never be overlooked. The carp can quite literally be caught right under the rod tips, especially if you have carried out a little prebaiting.

Blackhorse gets weedy, so make sure that your kit is up to the job. Use strong line and ensure that your leads can drop via lead clips or heli safes.

What you need to try!
